A Message from the CEO & Author:
As I have humbly tried navigating the complexities of life and leadership, I saw burnout and under-stimulation as a recurring theme because of my craving for safe spaces and real opportunity to grow. Long story (filled with many twists and turns) short, The Manager Advocate was born.
The Manager Advocate logo includes the Lotus Flower as a symbol for the flower’s ability to bloom even in murky water, which we believe is the perfect metaphor to describe what we all must do: Rise above difficult circumstances while simultaneously achieving enlightenment.
Our mission is to empower individuals to embrace their true selves, cultivate resilience, and lead with purpose and well-being. Whether you are navigating your career, your college life, your personal life, or your community involvement, The Manager Advocate is here to support you in creating life-work balance and sustaining meaningful impact.
Join us on this journey of Authenticity, Well-being & Growth!
With Gratitude,
Lee Swann

“There’s a significant lack of representation at the top, and these gaps could be filled by allowing more Hispanic, African American, and Asian professionals to challenge the status quo. They have the ability to solve complex, high-level problems, but the key is bringing these individuals into the room and giving them the space to voice their ideas.”

“I love what I’m seeing in the intern space. We’re showing up at universities, bringing our A-game, and attracting amazing talent. But, where we really need improvement is in getting more people of color in senior leadership. We’re missing diverse voices at the top who can bring fresh ideas and challenge the status quo.”
